Radical visibility
If it moves on a schedule, someone should be able to see where it is. Live by default, private by design.
TransitPin exists to make student transportation transparent and accountable — for the operators who run the buses, the drivers behind the wheel, and the families waiting at the stop.
TransitPin started the way most good fleet software does: with a dispatcher holding two phones, a route sheet, and a stack of sticky notes — while a third line rang with a parent asking the question every transportation office hears a hundred times a day: "Where's the bus?"
We spent months riding along with student transportation companies and district fleets. We watched drivers log runs by hand, dispatchers rebuild routes from memory, and parents wait at stops with no information at all. The technology to fix this existed. The product didn't.
So we built it: one tracking engine, two products — TransitPin Schools for student transportation operators and districts, and TransitPin Fleet for multi-client operators who need dispatch, white-label portals, and analytics at scale.
"We don't sell trackers. We sell the end of the 'where's the bus?' phone call."
— The TransitPin founding team
When families can see a bus move, everyone behaves better. Drivers drive with pride. Operators catch problems early. Parents stop calling and start trusting.
That's the accountability loop we build for: visibility in the moment (live maps and ETAs), accountability over time (driver performance and route analytics), and respect for privacy always (student data protected, never sold).
Today TransitPin tracks more than 40 million miles a year for 340+ operators. The mission hasn't changed: make the ride visible, make the operator look great, and make sure no kid is ever left wondering.
If it moves on a schedule, someone should be able to see where it is. Live by default, private by design.
Student information gets the highest protection in our stack: encrypted, role-limited, never sold, ever.
We build for the people who run the fleet. If it doesn't save the owner time or win the contract, it doesn't ship.
Our founders spend a month riding along with student transportation companies, logging every "where's the bus?" call they hear. The pattern is undeniable.
Twelve operators go live on the first release. The parent portal launches with the spring semester; the bell-schedule engine ships before fall.
Multi-client dispatch, white-label portals, and driver scorecards go live after a dozen operators ask for the same thing: "make us look like a platform."
TransitPin crosses 2,400 vehicles and 40 million tracked miles. COPPA-aligned data practices and SOC 2-aligned controls are in place across the platform.
Route analytics, predictive delay alerts, and deeper school integrations are shipping now. The mission hasn't moved: pin the ride. Know they're safe.
Founders, engineers, and former transportation operators who answer the phone the way we build software: fast and honestly.
Former fleet manager turned operator. Lives by the 6:45 AM route review.
Built the tracking engine that handles 40M+ miles a year. Allergic to downtime.
Former district transportation director. Onboarding in days, not semesters.
We're hiring engineers and implementation specialists who care about this mission.
