Everything included

Built for the morning rush

Every feature exists to answer one question — where is the bus, and when will it arrive? — before anyone has to call and ask it.

Live GPS tracking

Plug-and-play trackers stream vehicle location every 2 seconds. See every bus, every route, every minute of the school day on one map.

Parent portal & app

A polished portal and mobile app where parents see their child's bus live, with arrival ETAs and gentle push notifications — no account needed for guests.

Bell-schedule ETAs

Arrival times align to actual bell schedules — early-arrival and late-bell days handled automatically, so ETAs match what's really happening at the school.

Student rosters

Import rosters from your student information system. Assign students to routes and stops, and know exactly who's on board in an emergency.

Push ETA alerts

"Bus arriving in 5 minutes" lands on parents' phones automatically. Delays? Parents learn from the app — not from calling your office.

Dispatch dashboard

Route history, live vehicle status, delay alerts, and a simple map view your office team can run from day one. No training marathon required.

Getting started

From contract to live map in days

We ship your trackers

Order trackers once, or use compatible hardware already in your fleet. We pre-configure them and ship ready to plug in.

We import your routes

Send us your routes, stops, bell times, and rosters. Our team builds your map for you — you review, we launch.

Parents go live

Share one link or QR code. Parents get the app, drivers run the driver app, and your office watches the calls disappear.

Customer story

Northstar Student Lines: from 60 calls a morning to six

A 42-bus company serving three school districts rolled out TransitPin Schools over a single spring break. No new hardware vendor, no IT project — just plug-in trackers and a link to parents.

"The first week, our dispatcher thought the phone was broken," says owner Dana Whitfield. "It wasn't. Parents just… knew."

FAQ

Questions owners ask us

Do we have to buy TransitPin hardware?
No. TransitPin works with our plug-and-play trackers, but it also supports common GPS hardware already in many fleets. During onboarding we'll tell you exactly what you need — and we've never had a fleet that needed more than one afternoon of setup.
How do parents get access?
You share one link or QR code per route. Parents open it, optionally create a free account, and see their child's bus with live ETAs. No app-store install required for basic tracking; the mobile app adds push alerts and saved routes.
Does it work with our student information system?
Yes — we import rosters from common SIS exports (CSV, and most major SIS APIs) during setup. After that, your roster updates flow automatically, so students follow the right bus even mid-year.
What about student privacy?
Student data is encrypted in transit and at rest, access is role-based, and TransitPin is designed to comply with COPPA and FERPA expectations for student information. We never sell student data — see our privacy policy.
We're growing — what happens at 30 vehicles?
Nothing breaks. You can add vehicles a la carte, or step up to TransitPin Fleet, which includes multi-client dispatch, white-label portals, and driver analytics. Your routes, rosters, and history carry over automatically.

Next semester, nobody calls to ask.
